INCLINED MONOCULAR MICROSCOPE A Monocular Microscope is a type of optical microscope that has one eyepiece (single viewing lens) used to observe small specimens that cannot be seen with the naked eye. It is commonly used in school and college laboratories for basic biological and microbiological studies. This microscope works by using objective lenses and an eyepiece lens to magnify the image of a specimen placed on a glass slide. Light from a mirror or built-in illuminator passes through the specimen and the lenses magnify the image, allowing the user to clearly observe cells, microorganisms, and other tiny structures. The monocular microscope is designed with a sturdy body, rotating nosepiece, stage for holding slides, and coarse and fine focusing knobs for accurate focusing. Because of its simple design and easy operation, it is widely used for educational purposes and routine laboratory work.
